Ramp AR brings inbound payment automation into Ramp's existing finance stack
A free tier covers the core invoice-to-cash loop; complex billing needs like recurring schedules and revenue recognition require a paid add-on.
Ramp has added an accounts receivable product to sit alongside its outbound bill-pay, procurement, and corporate card tools. Accounting Today reports that Ramp Accounts Receivable is now available to U.S.-based, single-entity businesses running QuickBooks Online or NetSuite - making it a targeted launch, not a platform-wide rollout. Multi-entity or multi-currency customers are not in scope at general availability; Accounting Today notes those operations require Ramp Plus.

The workflow runs on three AI agents. Per Accounting Today, users upload a contract, purchase order, or order form and Ramp extracts the billing details to produce a draft invoice for the team to review before sending. Collections follow-up works on a rules basis: the team sets when to follow up and the tone for overdue messages, and the AI drafts the next communication using invoice status and customer-response history. Payment matching is the third leg - once a payment arrives, the AI identifies the correct open invoice and applies it, instead of requiring someone to cross-reference bank deposits and update records by hand.
Accounting Today also reports on the pricing structure: a free tier covers invoice creation, collections, and cash application, plus accounting sync for supported workflows. Customers with more complex needs - subscription billing, metering, automated revenue recognition, and tax integrations - can purchase a separate add-on. The ERP sync is one-way out of Ramp back to QuickBooks Online or NetSuite; Accounting Today notes that other ERP connections are planned but not yet available.
For controllers already running Ramp for payables, the appeal is consolidation: one platform, one dashboard showing every sent invoice, open balance, and planned follow-up. The caution is scope. Single-entity U.S. businesses on two specific ERPs is a narrow gate at launch, and the more automated features - revenue recognition schedules, recurring billing - sit behind a paid add-on. Worth checking both the eligibility criteria and the add-on pricing before building a workflow around it.
WHAT TO VERIFY
| Confirm your entity is U.S.-based and single-entity before trialing - multi-entity requires Ramp Plus. | |
| Revenue recognition schedules and recurring billing are an add-on, not included in the free tier. | |
| ERP sync is one-way (Ramp to QBO or NetSuite only); verify this fits your reconciliation process. |
