Intuit adds fund accounting for nonprofits and bill of materials for manufacturers at
Agentic Books Close and Firm Playbooks also landed for accounting firms - but several features are still in beta or pilot, not yet generally available.
At its Intuit Connect event on October 27, 2026, Intuit announced industry-specific AI capabilities for nonprofits and manufacturers added to Intuit Enterprise Suite and QuickBooks Online Advanced. The PYMNTS report on the announcement says nonprofits get fund and grant accounting built into the platform rather than managed through spreadsheets, while manufacturers get workflows for multi-location inventory and production - pick-pack-ship and multi-level bill of materials.

The firm-facing side of the announcement is equally pointed. The PYMNTS report says Intuit enhanced Intuit Accountant Suite with Agentic Books Close, which runs more of the monthly close process automatically; Firm Playbooks and portfolio intelligence, which help firms standardize onboarding and surface portfolio-level insights; and ProPartner, a training and certification program slated to launch in 2027. These additions are aimed squarely at accounting firms managing a portfolio of clients, not individual business users.
Availability is the thing to pin down before acting on any of this. The PYMNTS report cites Intuit's press release, which notes that Intuit Accountant Suite capabilities are rolling out to U.S.-based accounting firms - but Agentic Books Close is described as coming soon, not live. Nonprofit accounting, multi-currency support, and revenue management are also slated for future release. Construction and manufacturing capabilities in Intuit Enterprise Suite are currently in beta. Firms and clients in those verticals should confirm exactly which tier they are on and whether their specific feature is available or still queued.
One adjacent data point worth keeping in mind: per Audit Friendly's Intuit ProConnect Tax review, Intuit's pricing pages for ProConnect Tax disagreed with each other when checked on October 9, 2026 - the large-firm page still showed tax year 2025 rates. That pattern of staggered page updates is a reminder to verify current pricing and availability directly with Intuit before committing to any plan or demo, particularly as new tiers and add-ons come online.
BEFORE A DEMO
| Confirm whether your client's specific feature - nonprofit, manufacturing, or Agentic Books Close - is live, in beta, or still listed as coming soon. | |
| Ask Intuit for the Agentic Books Close add-on pricing before the pilot ends; the announcement does not state a price. | |
| Check which product tier (Intuit Enterprise Suite vs. QuickBooks Online Advanced) a given industry feature requires before scheduling a demo. |
